President Obama’s news conference and Occupy Wall street

President Obama and other Democratic leaders were sharply criticized last year for their lack of support of the Wisconsin Union protests. During yesterday’s news conference, President Obama seemed to speak in (slight) favor of the movement, stating that the OWS movement demonstrates how frustrated the American people are with the current economic situation and their demand for accountability. (See p.4-5 of transcript). What are your thoughts on the President’s responses at the news conference? What role would you like to see the President taking in these wildly spreading protests?
